LifePointe Church,

With the increased conversation and concern regarding the coronavirus, COVID-19, we would like to take a second and address this issue with each of you so that we are all on the same page. We first want to assure you that the safety and well-being of our amazing LPC family is always at the forefront of everything that we do. We want each and every person that steps foot into our facility to be both comfortable and confident that they are in a physically, emotionally and spiritually safe place to explore the truth of the Gospel message of Jesus, ask questions, “Do Life” together, and grow in their relationship with God.

With that being said, over the past two days, we have all witnessed a plethora of press conferences, statements, school/university closures, travel bans, event cancelations, and many other unprecedented decisions being made which have undoubtedly causes each of us to step back and reevaluate the current state of this virus and how things will look moving forward. Due to the fact that the coronavirus has now entered the state of Kentucky, and specifically Jefferson County, Gov. Andy Beshear has made several recommendations and precautionary suggestions on how we should proceed as a state in order to get ahead of the virus. And as you are probably already aware, one of these recommendations is that churches should cancel their upcoming weekend services.

Our leadership team has spent time in both prayer and conversation over the past 24 hours and have ultimately decided that the responsible thing to do is to cancel all meetings and services held at LifePointe Church effective immediately. As believers in Jesus, we can have hope and confidence in the fact that God has this well in control. That we should not and must not operate in a spirit of fear, but in a spirit of power, of love, and a with sound mind. And while we do not make this decision lightly, with how fast things are progressing and your safety in mind, we believe that this is our best course of action to take.

However, this will not stop us from gathering together this Sunday morning; it just won’t be physically, in-person. Rather, we will come together online, via Facebook Live, and will later post on YouTube and our website. We will have more details to come on this in the coming days, but we hope that you will join us digitally. Additionally, for those who call LifePointe Church home and you typically give your tithes/offerings during the main service on Sundays, you can always go to our website and give safely and securely on-line anytime, 24/7, at www.lpc502.com.

We will continue to monitor the situation as it continues to unfold and will keep you updated, through our website and social media, on how we plan to proceed in the weeks to come.

Thank you for your patience, love and understanding as we seek God’s comfort and guidance as we all journey this road together.

With Grace and Love,

Andy Driscoll
